FAQ for vendors

Your listing, answered

What a listing does, how couples reach you, and what any of it costs.

Getting listed

How do I get listed?

Sign up with what you do, where you work and what you charge, plus one number so we can confirm who you are — a CIPC registration if your business is registered, or your ID number if you trade in your own name. There is no application to be judged and no review queue: nobody looks at your work and decides whether you are good enough. The check runs the moment you give us the number, usually a few minutes, and your listing goes into the marketplace on its own as soon as it comes back — free, showing your name, your town and your price. We run the same check once a year afterwards, and a paid listing adds the rest of the page and makes every enquiry free to open.

What kinds of vendors are on the platform, and can I list in more than one category?

venues, decor and flowers, photography and video, music, hair, makeup and attire, and catering. A listing lives in one category, and it is fixed once the listing exists — it is what sets your price, your place in the marketplace and the shelf couples find you on. If your business genuinely works in two, open an account for each; each one is priced for its own category and keeps its own enquiries.

How leads work

How exactly do leads reach me?

On your console, immediately. A couple writes to you from your listing, and the message is waiting in your enquiries the next time you open it, with a red notice on the dashboard so it cannot be missed. You can also have it reach you by email: both sides switch that on for themselves, and the mail goes through us so neither of you ever sees the other's address. A lead names the couple, their wedding date and their town, and nothing about their budget. You have 48 hours to open it before the couple's credits go back to them and it is recorded as missed, so the practical answer is to check the console daily.

Who sees my listing?

Couples working through their own planner, most of them with a wedding date entered and a budget set — neither is compulsory. Nobody sees it until we have confirmed who is behind it: that is one number and a few minutes, and it is the same for every supplier here. After that, every listing in your category is visible to every couple who looks, free or paid. What a paid listing adds is the other half of your gallery, your availability calendar and the funnel and lead tables on your console — your description, your service area and your answers to the standard questions in your category are on your listing on every tier. Listings are only visible to signed-in couples; they are not published to the open internet.

Your listing and visibility

Can I control my service area?

Yes, by province. You pick the province you are based in and tick any others you travel to, and couples are matched on that — a couple in Gauteng sees vendors based there first, then everybody who travels there. There is no radius in kilometres and no per-town targeting: those sound more precise than they are, and "forty kilometres from Stellenbosch" is not something a couple planning a wedding thinks in. If your travel has conditions, there is a free-text note on your listing to say so in your own words.

How much competition will I face?

Every listing in your category is visible to every couple who looks at that category, sorted with the closest to them first. A couple can filter to their own province or to what fits their remaining budget, and both of those are off unless they switch them on, so by default nobody is hidden from anybody. Being straight about it: you are on a shelf beside your competitors with your price showing. What a paid listing changes is how much of your work a couple can see before they decide — the full gallery and your availability — not whether you appear, and not your description or your answers to the standard questions, which are on every tier.

Can other vendors see my pricing and profile?

Yes, if they have an account. Listings are not on the open internet — nobody can see them without signing in, and they do not turn up in a search — but anybody signed in can browse the marketplace, and that includes other businesses in your category. Your price is public to that audience by design: it is the thing couples filter and sort on, and a marketplace where prices are hidden is one where nobody enquires. What is never visible to another vendor is your enquiries, your leads, your figures or anything a couple has written to you.

Can I change my prices later?

Yes. Your profile is yours to update — pricing, photos, description and availability.

Can I pay to appear higher up?

Not beyond a Featured slot. The order a couple sees is worked out by our software from what they have told us — the province they are marrying in, the category they are looking at, and their remaining budget if they have set one. There are 3 Featured places in each category and those sit at the top; everything below them is ordered on that match and not on what anybody has paid. We can change how that ordering works at any time, and your visibility can move up or down with it.

Billing

What does a listing cost?

A listing is priced by category and runs from R149 to R399 a month, bought as one payment covering 3, 6 or 12 months. Nothing renews on its own and there is no subscription to cancel: when the term runs out it stops, and your listing drops back to the free card rather than disappearing. The current number for your own category is on the pricing page and in your console.

Do I pay for every enquiry?

On the free card, yes — opening a couple's message costs credits, between 25 and 99 of them depending on the category. A paid listing makes every enquiry free to open, which is most of what it buys. Either way the couple has already paid to send it, and if you do not open it within 48 hours their credits go back to them and the lead is recorded as missed.

What happens when my listing term ends?

Your listing stays in the marketplace on the free card — name, town and price — and couples can still find and favourite you. What stops is the rest: your gallery drops back to the smaller number of photographs, your availability comes off, the funnel and lead table close, and opening an enquiry costs credits again. Your description and your answers to the standard questions stay. Nothing is deleted, and buying another term puts all of it back.
